Parkway Villas Condominium Association, Inc. is a
well-managed, 55+, centrally located, affordable, friendly community consisting
of over two hundred individual villas.
Built in the 1970’s, and featuring well manicured grounds, the one-story
Villas are one and two bedroom places, each with a convenient floor plan and a
carport. The seven member board places
value on neatness, uniformity of appearance, safety, and fiscal responsibility. Maintenance fees have been level for four
years with a slight decrease this year, and reserves are fully funded for all
common expenses. Comprehensive goals are
set each year with successful accomplishment last year of a complete pool
renovation, a new and comprehensive grounds keeping contract, and an upgrade of
sales and leasing forms, to name a few.
Goals for 2010-2011 are underway and include such
priorities as the completion of the front door project, sealing the roads,
improving the entrance of the park, updating our data base and forms,
refinishing the deck around pool and table areas, making necessary improvements
to the club house and laundry, developing a resource directory of owners’
skills and strengths, and improving communications through specific action
plans. Through all of its endeavors, the
Board is committed to governing in accordance with Florida statutes and condominium
documents.
People are attracted to Parkway Villas due to a
1,500 square foot heated pool with saunas and shower facilities, a clubhouse
with kitchen and ample space for dinners and activities, a lending library,
fitness equipment, a billiard’s room and shuffleboard areas. There is ample parking for guests and
additional cars. The convenient location
provides a short walking distance to the local library, post office, grocery
store, pharmacy, and several restaurants.
An active Social Club with close to 100 members
offers opportunities for bingo, card games, regular coffee hours, dinners, and
other social events. In addition, an
active book club meets twice monthly as does a computer users group where
owners get support and assistance for managing their personal computers. An exercise group meets twice weekly for
those owners who wish to keep physically fit.
